We teach you how to access the battle against Gná (the Valkyrie queen) in God of War Ragnarok, which is totally optional and only available to the most skilled players.
One of the most anticipated games of recent years is now available in stores. We are talking, of course, about God of War Ragnaroksequel to God of War (2018) and closure of the Nordic arc of the Santa Monica franchise.
I’m sure many of you can’t tear yourself away from the Nine Realms, and we don’t blame you: God of War Ragnarok’s main plot is one of the most polished we’ve ever seen.

But hey, in God of War Ragnarok there are some places you can explore… and you might be in for a surprise (for better or worse). Have you found Gná, the Valkyrie Queen yet?
Perhaps you have been left in check. Yes, he is an optional boss in God of War Ragnarok, and you can fight her in an epic battle that will make you sweat blood. We show you where to find it.
How to find Gná and fight her
First of all, in this guide there are some SPOILERS both from God of War 2018 and God of War Ragnarok. Since it is an optional boss, you may not want to know certain things about the plot, so it is up to you to continue reading.
If you played the 2018 reboot, you will know that Freyja is the true Queen of the Valkyries. However, after the fall of Asgard, a rebellion led by Odin (Freyja’s ex-husband) was formed by the Nine Kingdoms.
In God of War Ragnarok there are some vestiges of ancient Asgard. These places are camps where the faithful to Odin gather to plot their next moves.
One of the secondary tasks of the game is to destroy these camps where Asgardian enemies await us. If we do, we will get rewards and new trophies.
Well, in God of War Ragnarok it is possible to face the imposter Queen of the Valkyries, and in fact it is necessary to defeat her to get one of the trophies in the game. Of course, it is an optional combat that you do not need to overcome to complete the main plot.
If you want to discover Gná’s hiding place and defeat her, you must go to muspelheim. There is an Asgardian camp there (remember that you will also run into some mini-bosses).
Once you have defeated the enemies, go down to the center circle where the Trials of Surtr were performed. Head to the right and use the Blades of Chaos’ anchor ability to reach the upper area.
As soon as you reach this area, you will see that a huge Valkyrie (Gná) makes an appearance. Freyja will also appear, and she will tell you that she will only attack you if you attack first.
Are you ready to face Gná? It is a boss comparable in difficulty to Sigrun (from God of War 2018), but if you beat the Valkyries from the previous game it won’t be that difficult.
Basically you have to be careful with the new skills that Gná has learned. For example, you can attack you in free fall, throw blades at you, engulf you in flames or attack you with Bifröst energy in the form of projectiles, rays or beams of light.
Once you defeat Gná you will get the trophy The True Queenas well as the following rewards: Queen’s Armor, the Queen’s Roar summon, a scroll, 5000 experience points, and an accessory for your shield.
