Rockstar comes to the rescue of the player with more than 6000 accumulated hours in Stadia’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and offers him this solution

The closure of Google Stadia leads to the loss of millions of accounts and saved data around the world. Luckily, Rockstar has decided to give its affected players a cable… and especially this content creator.

There is nothing worse in terms of video games than losing a game of many hours, and especially if we are talking about an online multiplayer title. This is what could happen to many Stadia players after the platform closure announced in January 2023.

Days after the news was known, developers such as Bungie or Bethesda confirmed that Destiny 2 and The Elder Scrolls Online would support data transfer to other versions.

Perhaps the most mediatic case was that of Colour, a Red Dead Online streamer used to playing on Google Stadia. This user feared losing his game of more than 6,000 hours of play in the Rockstar title.

And it is that Red Dead Redemption 2 does not include this data transfer option, or, at least, to date. The good news is that Rockstar has saved this player and many others with this important decision.

The news was revealed by Color himself, who on Twitter confirmed Rockstar’s decision to help all affected users for the closure of Stadia. They finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Rockstar’s lifesaver, a success

Color confirmed via his Twitter account He was NOT going to lose his 6000 hour game in Red Dead Online. His case was so publicized that even Rockstar itself decided to change one of the account policies of its game.

Luckily Rockstar will allow the transfer of save data from the version of Stadia from Red Dead Redemption 2 (and Red Dead Online) to the rest of the versions on PC, PS4 or Xbox One.

Below you can read Rockstar’s message sent to Colour:

In this way, players will be able to transfer their XP, gold bars, Red Dead dollars and other rewards from Stadia to the rest of the versions. It is a case similar to what happened with The Elder Scrolls Online.

In order to transfer this data it is necessary link our Google Stadia account to the Rockstar Social Club. Afterwards, the saved data can be downloaded from the platform on PC, PS4 or Xbox.
