As an added bonus, the PlayStation Plus members signing up for PlayStation Stars You will automatically earn points when you buy from PlayStation Store.
Digital collectibles are faithful digital representations of items beloved by PlayStation fans, such as figurines of iconic characters from gaming or other forms of entertainment, as well as beloved devices from Sony’s groundbreaking history.
There will be new collectibles to earn regularly, ultra-rare collectibles to strive for, or surprises to collect just for fun.
You can organize the digital collectibles you earn or purchase in a personal display case within the PlayStation App. If you want, you can set the display case for others to see.
At launch, for simply joining, all members will receive the Star Gazer telescope.
We’ll have Punto the gondolier from Ape Escape 2, PocketStation, Toro and Kuro celebrating and much more among the first digital collectibles members can earn or purchase.
doDigital collectibles are unique? doCan I sell or trade my digital collectibles? These digital collectibles are created just for our loyalty program and while some may be rare, they are not unique or based on blockchain technology.
They cannot be resold or exchanged. Digital collectibles can only be earned or purchased through PlayStation Stars.
doHow can I find out the rarity of a digital collectible?? You can check the rarity of a digital collectible on the campaign details screen and on the collectible’s details page.
doHow do I check my balance and redeem my points?? You can find your points balance in the PlayStation App under your Player Profile/PlayStation Stars Points History.
Points are redeemable for items from your rewards catalog such as digital collectibles, games, or PSN digital wallet funds. To redeem your points, go to PlayStation App > Player Profile > Playstation Stars > Rewards Catalog.
doWhat benefits will I get from being a PlayStation Plus member if I join PlayStation Stars?? It is not necessary to be PlayStation Plus member to join PlayStation Stars.
However, as a member of playstation plusif you join PlayStation Starsyou can earn points for your PlayStation Store purchases, including each payment of your PlayStation Plus membership.
Please note that PSN wallet top-ups do not generate PlayStation Stars Points.
doWhat are status levels? PlayStation Stars You will have four status levels that will reflect the milestones you reach.
These are based on the number of rare trophies earned in-game, as well as full game purchases from PlayStation Store. The higher your level, the more benefits and rewards you can get.
doHow long will I keep my status level?? Once you achieve a status level, you will keep it for the rest of the calendar year plus 13 months.
For example, if you reach level 2 in October, you will keep it for the rest of that calendar year and the following 13 months, from January 1 of the following year to January 31 of the following year.
This system seems quite similar to the Xbox with Microsoft Rewards, so we’ll see how it is implemented in practice. PlayStation Stars on PS4 and/or PS5.
