Acer has introduced the Chromebook Vero 514 in a ‘Green Day’ event that anticipates where the shots are going with this new laptop: a large number of its components are recyclable and made from recycled materials.

The Vero 514 Chromebook is the first notebook for the Google platform that Acer launches under its green ‘Vero’ series. The company says that 30% of the materials in the chassis and display bezels are post-consumer recycled plastic. The keyboard uses 50% recycled plastic and the touchpad surface is made entirely from ocean-sourced plastics.
