“We’ve had a writers room for Season 2 and I’m working on the scripts now. Season of Mists is something I’m looking forward to,” the showrunner stated.

Those who know comics will know that “Season of Mists” is the fourth comic collection in The Sandman story where Morpheus goes to Hell a second time over his cursed love Nada.

Heinberg advanced some details about the sandman season 2where he explained that Morpheus will not see Lucifer until the second episode of the season.

“The end of episode one, if we go ahead, is Dream telling Matthew, ‘I’m going to hell and I may not come back.’ So episode two starts with the rematch between Dream and Lucifer. It’s so juicy!

I’m so looking forward to doing something completely different with Gwendoline’s (Christie) look. I don’t want to spoil the surprises for people who haven’t read Season of Mists, but that’s where Dream’s problems really start.”
