FIFA 23 Pro Clubs and Volta Football modes will be partially merged

FIFA 23 will partially unify the Clubs Pro and Volta Football modes, taking advantage of the fact that, in both, in addition to being very focused on online multiplayer, a personalized alter ego is managed that must be improved by playing more and more games.

If you are fans of the Clubs Pro and Volta Football modes, you are in luck, because, in FIFA 23much of the progress of both will be shared. If you are not familiar with them, the first one is the typical way in which we only manage one player in online matches of up to eleven against eleven, while the second one focuses on arcade-type matches on street courts.

Given that both modes are heavily focused on online multiplayer and both use custom players that need to be upgraded as you play, with no invasive micropayments, it made sense for EA to build bridges between them. Obviously, each one will continue to have a very different gameplay, but a good part of the progress will be shared, and we are pleased with that.

Thus, our alter ego and its progress will be common to both modes. It will not matter if we gain experience in one way or another. In addition, it will no longer be limited to the games we play. It will also be obtainable by participating in skill games and mini-games, so there will be 100 levels to progress through, with upgrades easier to obtain than ever before.

Of course, not everything will be shared, especially regarding customization items. In Pro Clubs, yes there will be tattoos this year, but there will be some exclusive elements of Volta, which lends itself more to the nonsense and nonchalance, for example with accessories or face paint that would not make sense in a serious game of football 11.

In that sense, Volta will maintain the arcade and joyous tone of what FIFA Street is already known for, but there will be some novelties, in the form of new skills (such as a very high jump in the air that will allow you to perform Chileans with relative ease), new size courts ( some of them larger than usual) or additional mini-games (such as obstacle courses or an elimination ring).

Street and professional football have never been integrated as well as they will be in FIFA 23. It was time for both aspects to merge and put themselves at the service of pragmatism and fun.
