The character of Daemon Targaryen, who will be played by Matt Smith in Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, will be one of those we will see having bed scenes in the HBO Max series.
Throughout this week we have been able to learn the statements of one of the producers of The House of the DragonSara Hess, on the way sexual violence will be approached in this prequel to Game of Thrones.
Unlike the original series, in The House of the Dragon we will not see explicit violencealthough its consequences on the victims will be shown and the role of women in a patriarchal society will also be taught.
Matt Smith believes there are too many sexual scenes in The House of the Dragon
Matt Smith, the actor who will play Prince Daemon Targaryen in the HBO Max series, has also spoken these days about the sexual scenes that we will see in Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon.
“You find yourself wondering: Do we need another sex scene?”, explained Matt Smith in the magazine rolling stone. “And they say: Yes, we need it. I guess you have to ask yourself: What are you doing? Are you representing the books, or are you diluting the books to represent time [en el que vivimos]?”
“And I actually think it’s your job to represent the books truthfully and honestly, just as they were written.”. In case there was still any doubt, Matt Smith assured that the character of Daemon Targaryen will have several bed scenes in the series: “slightly too much if you ask me”.
One of the most characteristic elements of Game of Thrones in its day it was the representation of sexual scenes and bloody battles in which anyone could die, and it seems that The House of the Dragon will follow the same path as its predecessor although correcting some of its errors.
The first season of Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO Max on August 22and later we can also see new series based on the work of George RR Martin.
