Kirby's 30th anniversary concert will be broadcast live next week

Nintendo will broadcast live the 30th anniversary concert of the Kirby saga next Thursday, August 11 in the morning. The videos of the concert will be uploaded shortly after, but they will be available for a limited time…

Kirby is one of Nintendo’s most significant franchises, and this 2022 it’s a particularly good year. The saga turns 30 years old, coinciding with its best game in a long time, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and the fastest selling of the entire saga.

East August 11Nintendo will hold a commemorative concert with music from all of its games, including the latest installment for Nintendo Switch.

The Kirby 30 Anniversary Music Fest concert will be broadcast live from Japan at a slightly odd time: at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 11 (CEST time, Spanish peninsular time). You can see it live through this link.

The concert will have 35 musicians and it seems that jazz will predominate judging by the art of the image, in which Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, the Waddle Dee or Elfilin are dressed as if they were a big band, a jazz orchestra.

The concert will be broadcast in the hall Tokyo Garden Theaterwith an LED screen with images of the games (everything will be, naturally, in Japanese).

Since the schedule will surely come in handy (a Thursday at 11), later Nintendo will publish videos of the concert (we do not know if the whole or fragments) on his YouTube channel, although these videos will be available “for a limited time”.

The concert will be a little late, since the birthday was on April 27. On such a day as that, in 1992, Kirby’s Dream Land, one of the most successful games on the handheld, was launched on the Game Boy, designed by Masahiro Sakurai, creator after Smash Bros.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land won’t be the only Kirby game on Switch this year. Kirby’s Dream Buffet will be released this summer, a Fall Guys-style multiplayer game in which the levels are giant desserts.

And if you’re left wanting, these Kirby cookies have gone viral and are so adorable you’d have a hard time eating them.
