This is possible in Multiversus, and in addition you can play 1v1 mode both locally (on the same console or PC) and online. Of course, it is somewhat hidden in the lobby options menu.

These are the steps to start a 1v1 match on site:

  1. Start Multiversus and access the main menu.
  2. Select the option Play. It will automatically search for a 1v1 or 2v2 match online.
  3. Before the search starts, select the option change mode in the top left-hand corner.
  4. Once in the dropdown, choose the option Personalized.
  5. Choose local game in the dropdown.
  6. You have just created a private lobby for local multiplayer, from which you can invite a second player and modify different parameters (items, hazards, map…).

Other options and modes


In Custom and Local Play modes there are lots of options you may not know about. It is one of the advantages of Multiversus, where practically everything is possible.

These are some of the possibilities that Multiversus offers:

  • Choose mode: 1v1, free for all, 2v2…
  • Decide how many lives each player has.
  • Choose the maps that will rotate for each rematch.
  • Choose how long the fights last (there is also an unlimited mode).
