A hilarious bug in The Sims 4 causes characters to age and die much faster, even on loading screens

A bug in The Sims 4 is sowing confusion among the players of the title. It seems that the simulation is a bit accelerated… The aging of the characters is much faster than it should be. The Grim Reaper has become serious.

The Sims 4 is one of the most established games today and more and more possibilities arrive periodically (the option to choose the sexual orientation of your Sims has recently been introduced).

In short, there is always a lot to do within the Maxis and EA life simulator, but despite the fact that there is content to play for hundreds of hours, it can be a bit difficult if the poor Sims die shortly after being created.

That’s how it is, several users have reported a strange new bug within The Sims 4. Apparently, the aging of the characters is much faster than it should, which generates situations that walk between the tragic and the hilarious.

The glitch in the game starts right after creating a Sim, in a game with the “long” lifecycle, and basically makes kids grow young in no time. The same is true of adults, who reach old age at extremely rapid rates. So, Everything leads to premature death.

In addition, the bug generates other secondary consequences in the lives of these affected Sims, such as crying for their birthdays or some personal modifications being affected.

Faced with this loss of quality in the playable experience of The Sims 4, users have not been slow to express their concerns on social networks, which have received a response from the game’s quality designer, SimGuruNick.

The game development team is working on fixing this bugalthough a workaround or temporary patch has already been suggested that players can try to run.

Basically, EA has recommended that The Sims 4 be played in a new save file with the Long Lifespan option disabled. Hopefully a way will be found so that the Grim Reaper won’t be overworked for much longer…

We are investigating the issue of Sims auto-aging. We recommend that you save games with the default “normal” lifespan, while we work to find a solution, comment from the official account of Twitter.

The problem comes just at the same time as the launch of the High School Years DLC, an additional content that puts the focus on the high school, adolescence and social processes/experiences of the kids.

This is the first major expansion for The Sims 4 in a long time, after the game has received extra content such as the ability for characters to become werewolves. We shouldn’t have to wait long until the strange bug is fixed.
