Demon’s Souls, the PS5 remake, includes four secret items that have never been discovered before, and the name of one of them is a nod to fans.
Demon’s Soulsthe Bluepoint Games remake, was the first PS5 exclusive game at launch, updating one of the most influential PS3 games, which spawned the Dark Souls saga and FromSoftware’s other “soulslike” like Bloodborne, culminating in Elden. Ring.
Last February, Twitter user Lance McDonald discovered something very surprising: the remake had four objects that no user had discovered before.
Analysis of Demon’s Souls Remake for PlayStation 5
Yes: there are four objects in the game code, but it seems that there is no way to get hold of them “normally” in the gameso it may be that they were discarded objects from the final game that were kept in the source code, and only by hacking the PS5 could they be found.
McDonald did not explain how he learned of the existence of the objects, but to avoid possible surprises, he preferred not to reveal his name.
A new PS5 exploit has allowed others to access data on the PS5 Demon’s Souls disc now so it’s not going to be a secret for long. The undiscovered items in Demon’s Souls Remake are: Fractured Binding, Prophetic Fragment, and Chieftain’s Ring.
Still no idea how to find them. https://t.co/7tSdz2DpxO

Well, the story continues: a new PS5 exploit has allowed access to Demon’s Souls game data, so “the truth is out there”. To settle the mystery, he has shared the names of the objects, and one of them is a surprise that only the most veteran fans of the PS3 game will recognize.
The objects are called Fractured Binding, Prophetic Fragment and Chieftain’s Ring. He doesn’t remember the name of the fourth object, but it was something “boring”. In fact, the only interesting one is the Chieftain ring… a wink from Bluepoint to the community.

And it is that in 2013 the rumor spread among the players of Demon’s Souls on PS3 that there was an item called the Ring of the Chieftainwhich increases attack and defense and could only be purchased if you kept Yurt alive long enough.
This object was discussed in the GameFAQ forums for 2013 and even created a fake image of the ring in the inventory, but it was totally false: a fake turned into an urban legend, denied by the blog Illusory Wall (which also included the textures and names of all the other rings in the game).
In the end, the Ring of the Chieftain did make it to the Demom’s Souls remake… although not in its final version: this item cannot be obtained in any way in the gameand it could be either a deleted object from the final version, or a wink from the Bluepoint developers… which has been discovered almost two years later.
