George RR Martin Reveals Jon Snow Sequel Is Much Further Ahead Than We Thought

The author has provided a status update on the recently announced Game of Thrones sequel, including its working title.

Last week, Game of Thrones fans rejoiced at the announcement that a new spin-off series would take them to West. A sequel starring Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was formally announced.

A priori, it was thought that the entire project was in an early stage of development. However, the recent entry of Blog of George R.R. Martinpoints to the opposite.

On his blog, the author of Song of ice and fire highlighted the series’ working title, Snow. Martin explains that the development of the project began together with 10,000 ships, 9 voyages and Dunk & Eggbut, for some reason, it was never announced, until now.

According to George RR Martin, there are several draft scripts on the table. Kit Harington is very involved in the project, which he himself would have promoted.

In fact, Martin claims that the actor has brought his own team of writers and advisers to the series. The author and his team are also attached to the project, although he is, supposedly, more dedicated to writing The Winds of Winter, or so he says…

George RR Martin explains that there is much he cannot tell, yet, due to his confidentiality agreements with HBO. The writer says that when he can tell more, he will.

Yes indeed. Martin also warns that, Neither Jon Snow’s nor any of the other Game of Thrones spin-offs has a definitive green light.. It’s possible that only part of them will make it past the pilot episode.

Meanwhile, the imminent stop for fans of the Westeros imaginary will be Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, which has received the green light. The prequel, set several centuries before the events of the original series, is coming to hbo max the next August 21, 2022.

Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifansare just part of the spectacular cast that brings together the new series of the franchise.
