Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has confirmed Netflix’s plan to enable a new cheaper subscription fee with inclusion of advertising.
Despite having successful series such as Stranger Things, The Squid Game or The Bridgertons, this year is not being especially favorable for Netflix due to their latest subscriber numbers.

The CEO took the opportunity to clarify that Netflix will not incorporate advertising into the current rates, but it will be an entirely new rate option for those users who are interested in acquiring it at a lower price.
“We’re adding an ad tier; we’re not adding ads to Netflix as you know it today. We’re adding an ad tier for people who say, ‘Hey, I want a lower price and I’ll watch the ads,'” he said.
