The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, an expanded version of the acclaimed indie game, finally has a release date on PC and, for the first time, on consoles: April 17 on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
The Stanley Parable is one of the most amazing indie games of the last decade. A “walking simulator” that was born more than ten years ago, as a Half-Life 2 mod, and was later published as an independent game with new graphics for Steam in 2013.
its expansion, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, already has a date. It will be released on April 17 on PC and consoles (PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo). It’s been a long wait, with successive delays… but finally, the editor Crows Crows Crows has confirmed the date with a new trailer.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded version of the original Galactic Cafe game, with new content, options, and seemingly new choices and secrets. There’s no telling how much it will change the experience if you’ve already played it, but it’s a great excuse to revisit this surreal game.
And if you’re a console gamer and you’ve never tried it, this will be your chance, because it’s the first time that The Stanley Parable, in any of its forms, comes to consoles. You can play it on any of the current platforms, Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

This Ultra Deluxe version of The Stanley Parable was announced at The Game Awards 2018, with a target date of 2019… moved to 2020… moved to 2021. At the very least, its publisher Crows Crows Crows was taking these delays with humor… and today we finally have the good news of its release date!
The Stanley Parable is a very short game, although surely for many that is a virtue. But although it is short, it has up to 19 secret endings (at least, in its original version, we don’t know what will happen in the Ultra Deluxe), and it is an experience that “stays with you” and that received A’s on its release in 2013.
