Trek To Yomi is a violent black and white samurai game announced in the State of Play dedicated to Japanese games. It will be released in spring 2022.
In the State of Play dedicated to Japanese games, Sony has shown a new trailer for Trek To Yomi. This is a game that pays homage to classic samurai movies, in particular the Kurosawa films such as Yojimbo, Sanjuro or The Seven Samuraiand which paradoxically is developed by a Polish team.
Trek To Yomi is the work of Flying Wild Hog, who just brought us Shadow Warrior 3, and it will be distributed by Devolver Digital on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X, and PC. In addition to some violent sword duels, the game stands out for its visual style, in black and white.
The game tells a story of revenge and death, like the movies we mentioned before, and stands out for a very technical combat style, in which we will have to use our katana to deliver deadly blows and stop the attacks of the rivals.
In addition to the aesthetics and music performed with traditional flutes and taiko drums, the trailer shows some supernatural elements in the recreation of the scenarios and enemies. To give more strength to the images, there is no trace of interface that indicates the life of the protagonist or his rivals.
Totally wireless headset with USB adapter for PS5. Compatible with 3D audio from the new console, it charges via USB-C and has a double microphone for crystal clear conversations.
In the cast of actors who bring the game’s characters to life, we find Masayuki Katou as Hiroki (the protagonist of Trek To Yomi) and Sarah Emi Bridcutt (Constance in Fire Emblem Three Houses) as Aiko.
Trek to Yomi has a planned release date of spring 2022.
