In this guide we explain how to get Wyrdeer, the new evolution of Stantler in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch.
With Pokemon Legends: Arceus Now out for Nintendo Switch, it’s likely that many of you are trying to complete your Pokédex as soon as possible. That means you’re going to have to capture and train a large number of creatures to evolve.
In general, and as in previous generations, many Pokémon evolve when they reach a certain level. But there are also a good number of creatures that evolve by meeting very specific requirements. Such is the case with Wyrdeer.
Wyrdeer is the evolution of Stantler in the Hisui region. You probably know it well because it is the first mount you get in the game. In addition, thanks to its movement speed it is one of the most useful in the adventure.
But nevertheless, getting the mount does not mean getting the pokemon. To get Wyrdeer and start completing his Pokédex tasks, you have to evolve Stantler, and getting it requires following some very specific steps. That is why we have prepared this guide for you.
The first thing you should do, obviously, is catch a Stantler. You can find it at: Loma del Venado (Obsidian Prairie), Windbreak Forest (Cobalt Coast), Lost Forest (Ladera Corona) and Glacier Terrace (Tundra Alba). The one that appears in Loma del Venado is an Alpha, in case you want it large.
When you have Stantler in your team, you should take him out to fight and use the move Barrier Assault with quick style a total of 20 times. We repeat: Assault Barrier WITH fast style. If you do the move in “normal version” or strong style, it won’t count.
When you’ve done it 20 times (or more), the next thing to do is Raise Stantler to level 31 to evolve into Wyrdeer. If your Stantler is already level 31 or higher, simply fulfilling the requirement will give you the option to activate evolution (meaning you don’t need to level it up any further).
And that’s it! If you have followed the steps to the letter, you will already have Wyrdeer in your possession. We leave you our analysis of Pokémon Legends: Arceus in case you are interested in knowing what we think about the new Game Freak game for Nintendo Switch.
