Nintendo Japan shares an extensive gameplay trailer for Pokémon Legends Arceus, which hits stores on January 28 for Nintendo Switch.
The Pokémon fever is far from over. And it is that, although 2021 and the 25th anniversary of the saga have already concluded, there is still a lack of a great game to come to Nintendo Switch: Legends Pokémon Arceus.
Pokémon Shiny Diamond and Shimmering Pearl have demonstrated the enormous success of the IP, achieving results superior to Sword / Shield and pointing to a glorious future for the franchise.
Legends Pokémon Arceus is the new title developed by Game Freak (creators of the saga), which will bet on a semi-open world and a setting that is very different from what was seen in previous installments.
Nintendo shared an extensive gameplay trailer from more than 6 minutes of the title, which reveals new details, characters, Pokémon, gameplay and other aspects. And it all looks very, very good.
As you already know, Pokémon Legends Arceus is set in the Hisui region (ancient Sinnoh), marked by a clear aesthetic of feudal Japan and with a playable formula closest to Monster Hunter than the Pokémon saga itself.
In Arceus Legends there will be no Pokédex as such, nor does it take turns fighting or capture attached to the fighting system. Everything will be in real time, without pauses and with the predecessors of the Poké Ball as a capture weapon.
You can know all the Pokémon confirmed for Arceus Legends in this report (for now), but we anticipate that not all will be, like is logic.
The new gameplay trailer sheds more light on the Diamond and Pearl clans, the appearance of legendary such as Darkrai or the same Arceus, the gingko guild or the use of objects and tools.
Another novelty of Legends Pokémon Arceus will be the Hisui forms of some creatures. Examples like Voltorb, Growlithe or Zorua / Zoroark they will have their regional versions in old Sinnoh.
According to leaked information (quite reliable), Legends Pokémon Arceus would be the most extensive game in the entire saga, and would be geared more towards survival than towards the RPG.
Legends Pokémon Arceus hitting stores next January 28, exclusively for Nintendo Switch and opening a new path for the saga. Will this ” Pokemon Monster Hunter ” succeed? Will it be able to sell as much as Diamond and Pearl?
