As revealed at the Jump Festa, Rurouni Kenshin will have a new anime series produced by Liden Films, although a release date is not yet known.

In addition to being the perfect opportunity to meet some of the mangakas from the most popular series of the moment and enjoy various panels, it is also eagerly awaited since previews of new manga, anime, movies and all kinds of merchandising are usually presented. .
In fact, one of the big announcements that were unveiled last Sunday was that the Rurouni Kenshin manga from Nobuhiro Watsuki will have a new anime series produced by Liden Films, who have also been in charge of the recent anime of Berserk or the animated adaptation of The heroic legend of Arslan.
The first 28 volumes of Rorouni kenshin They were published in the Weekly Shonen Jump beginning in 1994, following the adventures during the Meiji Restoration of Kenshin Himura, a highly skilled assassin who tries to find a new life by leaving violence behind.
The manga already had an anime adaptation of 95 chapters, several video games and also five live action films. This new anime is expected to adapt Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc, a new arc that has been published in Jump SQ since September 2017 and that Watsuki has developed together with his wife, the novelist Kaoru kurosaki.
The manga went on hiatus a few months after Watsuki was arrested on child pornography charges. The mangaka was released after paying a fine and in 2018 the publication of his story was resumed, in addition to continuing production of other adaptations of Rorouni kenshin and even a tribute to his career without further repercussions against Watsuki.
For now, no more information is known about this new anime of Rurouni Kenshin, in addition to the small teaser with which the ad has been accompanied. It is possible that the new series will be released at the end of next year, so we will have more information in the coming months.
