Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games) to star in Star Wars: The Acolyte

The Star Wars: The Acolyte series already has a protagonist. Amandla Stenberg will be in charge of leading the cast of the Disney Plus series.

Lucasfilm begins to launch the projects that will begin production in 2022. The calendar has left some gaps with the departure of Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic from the planning.

One of the projects to be filmed in 2022 will be Star Wars: The Acolyte, the series orchestrated by Leslye headland (Russian doll) and that it has already found its protagonist.

As reported Deadline, Amandla stenberg will be in charge of giving life to the main character of Star Wars: The Acolyte.

However, not much explanation has been given about the character in question, beyond the choice of the 23-year-old actress.

Many of you will know Amandla Stenberg from movies like The hate you give or Powerful minds, although others will have it internalized as much younger.

Stenberg played Rue in the first film of The Hunger Games, the film adaptation of the novels of Suzanne collins.

Star Wars: The Acolyte will take place in the last days of the High republic (The High Republic), and will act, in part, as a preamble to the prequel trilogy of Star wars.

Beyond Star Wars: The Acolyte, other series like Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson, will also start production almost imminently in Lucasfilm.

Meanwhile, the December 29 lands on Disney Plus The Boba Fett Book, featuring Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen.

Star Wars’ most famous bounty hunter returns in all his glory to seize the remains of what was once the criminal empire of Jabba the hutt.

But not everyone will be happy about the return of Boba Fett, and many challenges await him and his inseparable partner.

What do you think of the signing of Amandla Stenberg to star in Star Wars: The Acolyte? Do you think the series will revitalize interest in the editorial effort of Star Wars: The High Republic?
