Alec Baldwin has given his first interview to explain the terrible accident that ended the life of Halyna Hutchins.

Just a few weeks ago the news broke, an accident during the filming of the movie Rust had caused Alec baldwin accidentally fired a real gun, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, and wounding director Joel Souza, to the disbelief of all those present.

It’s been less than a month and Baldwin has already had to face various theories and accusations about what happened during the filming, so the actor decided to give his first interview to ABC to be able to explain what happened from his point of view.

In the interview, in which Baldwin is completely devastated, the actor has repeated over and over again that he did not pull the trigger And, of course, it was not he who put a real bullet into the gun that killed Hutchins. When the journalist asks him where his career is going after this tragic accident, he is clear.

“I can not care less”, Baldwin acknowledged that he admitted that his career might have come to an end after what happened during the filming of Rust. “It could be,” said the actor who says he does not feel guilty, “I would have ended my own life if I became the culprit, and I do not say it lightly.”

The interpreter and producer of the film where the accident occurred has also admitted that he manages to carry his day to day more or less well, but that when the night comes it collapses completely, and even has recurring nightmares in which guns are seen going off.

Beyond this, Baldwin has asked that this accident serve to reflect on the film industry and that real weapons are not used again on film sets so that something like this does not happen again.
