Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is once again the best-selling physical on Black Friday in the UK. The list of games has many acquaintances and Farming Simulator 2022 debuts at 13th.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been the best-selling game of the week in the UK and in physical format. All this for the Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals, whose console also dominates in this regard.
The title of Switch, with more than 2 million copies sold in the UK according to GamesIndustry.biz, climbed 6 places by a 567% increase in sales weekdays; there was a console and game pack.
That means that the 1st of last week, Pokémon Shining Diamond, falls five places to 6th after a 57% decline in sales. The same thing happens to Pokémon Shimmering Pearl, it falls from 2nd to 11th place when seeing 58% less in sales; although combined they would be in position 3 of the table.
Keep in mind that now we talk about sales in physical format, not digital. The hot week of Black Friday has passed with a few 10% lower UK sales than during the same period of 2020.
This means that 100,000 fewer copies have been sold than last year from pandemic pressing. The 2nd place is won by FIFA 22, thanks to its increase in sales of 145% and this is followed by Minecraft in Switch with its increase of 258%.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is 4th, selling almost the same as last week. And, in general, almost all the games have had a very steep scale by the Black Friday discounts and offers.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has climbed from 12th to 5th with a 419% increase in sales; Just Dance 2022 is 7th after selling 133% more, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is 8th for a 94% increase in sales and Far Cry 6 is 9th after seeing 49%.

Metroid Dread almost fell from the top 40 last week, but it resurfaces and ranks 23rd after increasing its sales by 190%. Meanwhile, it seems that other premieres of previous weeks have also had a good sales week.
