Steve Aoki will give a virtual concert with music from the Sonic the Hedgehog series

Sega continues to celebrate the anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog with a virtual concert with DJ Steve Aoki that will take place on November 30, with their own songs and those of the games.

Sega still had an ace up its sleeve in its many celebrations of the Sonic the Hedgehog 30th anniversary. This November 30, next Tuesday, you will be able to witness a new virtual concert with DJ Steve Aoki, performing both his own songs and remixes of the music from the Sonic series.

On Sonic’s YouTube channel they posted a video behind the scenes of the concert, recorded on a set in Las Vegas … although you don’t see much, because it was all in front of a green screen, and a green panel hiding Aoki’s DJ table.

But, with the magic of computer graphics, Aoki will travel to Green Hill, the Chemical Plant and many other levels from the old and new Sonic games.

The concert will last about 60 minutes, And they promise that there will be Aoki remixes of Sonic game themes, from the first on Mega Drive to the current ones.

Save the date: Tuesday, November 30 at 9:00 p.m. CEST (Spanish peninsular time). It’s Aoki’s birthday!

This will not be the first time we have seen Steve Aoki in a virtual concert, as he also gave a concert in Fortnite in the worst months of the pandemic. Aoki, by the way, is a huge fan and collector of Pokémon cards … and he even let himself $ 220,000 on a special Charizard card at auction.

Additionally, this year Sega released a virtual concert of two hours with symphonic arrangements of music from the entire saga, which was very well received by fans, with almost 3 million visits and 150,000 likes.

In 2022 Sega will release an ambitious new Sonic game, apparently called Sonic frontiers, and that it will be open world, according to a leak that seems pretty reliable.

Meanwhile, you can play Sonic Colors Ultimate, which has just received a patch on Nintendo Switch, a console where it was going with a very regulinchis performance.
