Kirby gets a nomination ... a Grammy!  and it is already the third video game that participates in these awards

Good old Kirby has been nominated for a Grammy Award. The pink character makes history by being the third video game to be nominated for these musical awards.

Kirby is back in the news And not because of its recently announced game, Kirby and the Forgotten Land for Nintendo Switch, but because it has managed to be nominated for an award.

Sure you are thinking that it is a joke, but indeed, Kirby has been nominated for a Grammy, the international music awards that are awarded each year.

While you have no doubt that eating a renowned singer would have endowed Kirby with the gift of singing and instruments, this award belongs to an arranger who has been nominated for his work on the song from “Meta Knight’s Revenge” that is part of Kirby SuperStar released in 1996 on SNES.

Artists Charlie Rosen and Jake Silverman and the game are one of five nominees for the “Best Arrangement, Instrumental or Cappella” award at this Grammy gala.

So now Kirby Superstar now enters the Grammy podium alongside Journey and Civilization IV, which have been the other two video games nominated for these renowned music awards.

If, finally, Kirby wins the award, it would be the first video game to get a Grammy in history, something worthy of applause and that would undoubtedly bring great recognition to the medium.
