The next December 17, Netflix brings back one of its most successful series: The Wticher. Henry cavill will get back into the skin of Geralt of Rivia, the most famous sorcerer of Andrzej Sapkowski.
Based on the novels by the Polish author, The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia across the Continent, while the sorcerer takes assignments to exterminate monsters and grapple with the twisted goings-on of humans.
The first season of the series was a success for Netflix, although it was not exempt from various criticisms for its confusing narrative and its leaps in time.
With the promise that those mistakes, as well as part of its production design, have been amended, The Witcher will return to Netflix for Christmas.
The platform has shared a new poster for the series, highlighting the new role that Geralt de Rivia will have in the new season.
The poster displays the slogan “Destined to protect”, alluding to the role that Geralt will assume as guardian of Ciri (Freya Allan) in the new season, playing an officious father and master of combat and magic.
The Witcher will also bring back Anya Chalotra What Yennefer already Joey batey What Dandelion, who will reprise their roles from the first season.

The Witcher has also left the animated film The Witcher: The Wolf’s Nightmare this year, featuring one of Vesemir’s youth stories before becoming Geralt’s mentor.
