Final Fantasy XIV producer says Endwalker is even bigger than a full RPG

At this point, denying the success of Final Fantasy XIV would be a serious mistake. The MMORPG Square Enix has managed to place itself in the top of the franchise, available on PS5, PS4 and PC.

Its beginnings in 2010 were more than problematic, but the relaunch of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn has managed to place the title at the top: already has 24 million players all over the world.

What is already the most profitable game in the Final Fantasy saga will receive a new expansion next November 23. Endwalker will collect the witness of Shadowbringers, within the universe of the Square MMO.

In an interview with the portal MMORPG.com, the producer and director of Final Fantasy 14 has spoken about Endwalker and what it will mean for the massively multiplayer role-playing game.

Yoshida claims that Endwalker will be much more immersive and deep than Shadowbringers, and it will even be as big (or more) than some full RPGs that are released.

Especially for the story, when we look at the amount of texts, cutscenes and so on … I don’t want to give such a comparative figure, but there is much more here than in Shadowbringers” Naoki Yoshida explains.

Final Fantasy XIV

Considering that Shadowbringers had a good reception, it is to be expected that Endwalker becomes the best expansion of Final Fantasy XIV. Yoshida assures that it will be much bigger.

One of the aspects where Naoki Yoshida emphasizes the most is Endwalker’s narrative span, which will not be a mere content update. It will serve as a direct sequel to Final Fantasy 14.

In another order of terms, this morning we have told you that Square Enix does not rule out the launch of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox consoles. Yoshida admits that are in talks with Microsoft.

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is coming to the MMORPG next November 23, marking a new path for the successful role-playing game. And he still has five years left … at the very least.
