Heart Machine, the creators of the excellent Hyper Light Drifter, will release their second game this year: Solar Ash. It will keep the same color palette as the first game, but if the first game was an action RPG with 16-bit graphics, Solar Ash is a 3D action platformer.
Annapurna Interactive will launch this game in PC (Epic Games Store), PS5 and PS4 on December 2, 2021. This is a small delay, as its launch was imminent, on October 26.

On Twitter, Heart Machine announced the short delay of the game to have more time to polish the entire game and fix bugs.
Solar Ash looks dazzling: graphics are simple but expressive, and the mobility of the protagonist, Ray, who moves at full speed through the Ultravacuum, a black hole that is consuming everything, is the great claim of the game.
The way that it is slide through the stages, glide between platforms, or hook onto grapple points for balance are just as graceful as combat.
But the high points will be the fighting the gigantic creatures, whose own bodies will be the platforms, to which we cling to the Shadow of the Colossus style.
Solar Ash comes out on December 2 on PC and exclusively for Sony consoles, who will enjoy what may be one of the best indies of the year, and with the guarantee of Annapurna, a company that has taken good care of the quality and originality of the games it publishes, such as Outer Wilds or What Remains of Edith Finch.
In fact, they are going to have a lot more coming soon, including exclusives (albeit temporary in many cases) also for Xbox, The Artful Escape) and Switch (Neon White).
