The project had been around for a long time, after a seven-year hiatus for the franchise after Los Mercenarios 3 hit theaters in 2014.

A few days ago, Sly was arriving in London to begin production of The Expendables 4, although he will probably have to make a short break to attend the premiere of Rocky vs Drago: The Ultimate Director’s Cut, in November.

Stallone is one of those stars who do not hesitate to share images and content through social networks of the films in which he works, and The Expendables 4 is not going to be an exception.

Through Instagram, the actor has shared his photo of meeting with Jason Statham, both ready and dressed to start starting chain necks.

Statham and Stallone will join them in The Mercenaries 4 Megan Fox, Andy Garcia, Randy Couture, 50 Cent and Dolph Lundgren (which are confirmed for the moment).

Entering rumor territory, The Expendables 4 is said to be a more character-centric movie than Statham, Lee Christmas (Christmas).

Some think that the film may see the character of Sylvester Stallone, Barney ross, being killed (or captured?), which would divert the focus to the character of Statham.
