Next December (in Spain) Ghostbusters: Beyond, the direct sequel to the original Ghostbusters movies of the eighty.

Jason reitman, son of the original director of the Ghostbusters movies, Ivan Reitman, is in charge of directing this film that will involve a generational change.

Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Logan Kim and Celeste O’Connor They are the younger protagonists of Ghostbusters: Beyond, on whom the story will focus.

The four are the protagonists of one of the images of the film that Empire uses for its coverage of the film, along with an interview with Ivan and Jason Reitman.

The other image is more striking, since they appear Muncher, a spectrum with a more than reasonable resemblance to Slimer (Slimer in these parts), the beloved omnivariate of the original films and the animated series.

Slimmer it was the first capture of the original Ghostbusters in the 1984 film, though they trashed a hotel in the process. Besides, he was the one who “ran a runny” at Bill Murray.

Ghostbusters: Beyond

We do not know if this Muncher will be an “evolved” version of Slimer or if we will see the beloved character in Ghostbusters beyond.

What we do know is that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts They will be back in their iconic original roles, although we don’t know with what relevance.

The tape will also feature Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon to give a more mature air to the new protagonists.

Jason Reitman follows in the footsteps of his father, Ivan, who is currently embarking on the sequel project for The Twins Strike Twice.

Ghostbusters: Beyond hits Spanish cinemas on December 3, more than two weeks after its premiere, so watch out for spoilers during those days on social networks.
