GIGABYTE M32U Expands Its Family of Gaming Monitors to 4K

GIGABYTE M32U amplía su familia de monitores gaming al 4K 30

Again surprising with a gaming monitor outside of its dedicated Aorus sub-brand, we are faced with the announcement of the GIGABYTE M32U 4K, the almost twin brother of the already presented M32Q, with an identical design and very similar specifications that will focus on the jump to 4K resolution.

So we meet again with one 31.5 inch super speed IP panel, with an update frequency of up to 144 Hz for PC and 120 Hz for consoles (varying for the use of the DisplayPort and HDMI ports), with a response time of 1 millisecond MPRT. As we said, its main difference will lie in the fact that this monitor will reach 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, under a small improvement in the backlight thanks to its HDR400 certification, but maintaining the same typical brightness of 350 nits.

On the other hand, the color saturation is not as good as that of the current model, staying at the 90% DCI-P3 and 123% sRGB, even though it is an 8-bit FRC + panel instead of an 8-bit panel. Additionally, the GIGABYTE M32U will feature TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification, the world’s most advanced and recognized set of requirements for blue light management and color performance in the consumer electronics industry; as well as Eyesafe’s own standards, developed in conjunction with professional ophthalmologists and optometrists.

Regarding its connectivity section, the inputs consist of two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, and one USB-C port with DP-Alt modeAlthough the monitor also has a USB 3.0 type B input and three type A outputs and a headphone jack compatible with KVM functionality, in addition to the 3W integrated speakers themselves.

Unfortunately, although it is already listed on its website, at the moment the company has not shared any information about the price or date of availability of the GIGABYTE M32U 4K.
