On September 9 we witnessed a big event PlayStation Showcase, which gave us our first look at exclusive games coming to PS5 and PS4 in the coming months. But, as always, there were a winner who captured all eyes.
It wasn’t the only bomb of the event, but God of War Ragnarok turned the internet upside down with its spectacular announcement trailer. Not in vain, The trailer for the new Kratos and Atreus adventure was the most watched of the Sony event in its first 24 hours.
The analyst Benji-Sales has made a small visualization analysis of the main trailers from the PlayStation Showcase. Of course, it has been taken as a reference the first 24 hours, in order to keep the hype and desire of the players in perspective.
According to a tweet posted by the analyst, the God of War Ragnarok trailer was Most viewed on the PlayStation Showcase, with over 10 million views in Youtube. The Santa Monica title will arrive in 2022 on PS5 and PS4.
Second, close to the leader, we have the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer ($ 9 million), the long-awaited sequel to the adventures of the wall-crawler, due out in 2023. It is closely followed by the trailer for another Insomniac game, Marvel’s Wolverine, which racked up 7 million views.
The fourth on the list is The Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake trailer (KOTOR), which was announced as a PS5 exclusive on consoles (will also be released on PC). It is unknown if it will reach Xbox, after a recent tweet from Sony, and its trailer managed more than 3 million views.
Closing the ranking we have Gran Turismo 7, with more than 1 million visits and that will arrive in stores on March 4, 2022. The trailer for Forspoken, meanwhile, did not reach one million views in Youtube.
Things are very clear: most PS5 and PS4 players are looking forward to seeing God of War Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in action. Since nothing from Horizon II Forbidden West was shown, we had the big, unexpected Marvel’s Wolverine announcement instead.
