Halo 5 not coming to PC, confirms 343 Industries Community Director

Microsoft continues to bring its main first party games to the Windows ecosystem, and even many of them to the Steam platform. Halo: The Master Chief’s Collection, Sea of Thieves, or Forza Horizon 4 are clear examples of this.

In fact, The Master Chief Collection includes all the main games in the Halo saga, with the exception of one. And yes, there is an installment of the franchise that remains exclusive to Xbox One (and also Series X | S): Halo 5 Guardians.

The other day we left you with a leak from GeForce Now, which revealed many releases from PlayStation Studios, third parties and even Nintendo on PC. It was confirmed to be false, and that also affects the port of Halo 5 for compatible.

This has been confirmed by the 343 Industries Community Director, Brian Jarrard, who assures that the studio has no plans to bring Halo 5 to PC. These remain focused on Halo Infinite and improving The Master Chief’s Collection for compatibility.

Perhaps this was for “H5: Forge”, but I can confirm that there are no plans to bring Halo 5 to PC. We know there is some demand, but as we’ve said before, it’s not on the cards as the studio is completely focused on Infinite and MCC. I’ll never say never, but there’s nothing going on right nowJarrard confirms.

The point is that Halo 5 Forge is available on PC, and in fact the full game is included in the Xbox compilation… but not on Windows. The reason for this absence is unknown, but it seems that things will remain the same in the coming months and years.

Brian Jarrard also leaves the door open to a small possibility. Perhaps after the release of Halo Infinite, the studio can dedicate yourself to this desired port Halo 5 for PC. At the moment, the game can only be enjoyed on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.

In another order of terms, fans are still waiting for the release of Halo Infinite, which will hit stores on December 8. Co-op and Exit Forge will not be included, but these modes will come later as an update.

Halo 5 Guardians is available since 2015 on Xbox One, and can be played on the new consoles Series X and Series S (is also in Game pass console). It was, without a doubt, one of the best Microsoft exclusives of the past generation.
