The Gamescom, and specifically the Future Games Show event of the Games Rasar medium, have left us with a new trailer of Soulstice. This action RPG was seen in the past E3, and today’s trailer focuses on the gameplay and its intense third-person combat, closer to Devil May Cry than Dark Souls, although fans of the genre will feel as in home.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that Stefanie joosten will be the protagonist. Joosten is known for playing Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V, and was also featured in Mercury Steam’s Spacelords.

Soulstice will arrive in 2022 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, only on new generation consoles. It is starring two sisters, Briar and Lute, that are “fused” into a single entity, the chimera, a living weapon that is the only chance to free the kingdom of Keidas from a demonic invasion.

“Mighty savage creatures known as ‘Wraiths’ invade from the other side of the Veil, threatening to consume the living. Wraiths corrupt their victims and may even possess their bodies, becoming unstoppable monsters that prey on common people.”

Joosten voices both characters, and imposes its presence in the trailer. Briar is a taciturn warrior, while Lute will be a spirit with more mystical abilities than Briar, focused on melee. Combining both powers, you can face huge bosses, who do not hide their inspiration from Dark Souls.

Soulstice is developed by Reply Games Studio (Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf and Theseus), and will be published by Modus Games sometime in 2022. What do you think of their proposal? You can keep up to date with Soulstice news by following Reply Game Studio on social media, and the game seems to be arousing a lot of interest among fans of the genre.
