XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Merc 308, unbox and first look

Thanks to AMD Spain we already have in our hands the XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Merc 308, a graphics card that positions directly within the mid-range, although I allow myself the license to anticipate that, in some cases, dares to give himself airs of the upper middle range. So far I can read, to know more you will have to pay attention to the analysis that we will publish soon.

I must say that, on a design level, the XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Merc 308 I quite liked it. This model has a line that achieves an almost perfect balance. It is elegant and discreet, but at the same time it attracts attention and does not leave anyone indifferent. The dominant black color and the hues in silver are key in this regard, and the small touch in red (in the letters RX) adds a little aggressive nuance that goes perfectly with the whole.

When it comes to build quality, the XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Merc 308 scores at a high level. From the moment we take it out of the box it is clear that we are facing a first class completion, not only because of its careful cooling system, consisting of a huge aluminum radiator, a contact base with four heat pipes made of copper and nickel and a set of three fans, but also because it also comes with a back plate made of Aluminum that is taken care of in detail, and that has a front stop that protects the interior and gives it a very striking touch.

The XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT Merc 308 features a dual BIOS that we can activate using a simple switch, which means that we have a backup that can be of great help if, for whatever reason, the main BIOS fails. It is also equipped with the XFX Zero DB technology, which works automatically to adjust the fan speed according to the workload. In basic tasks, these are turned off, which means that we will not hear any noise.
