This is how Chris Pratt looks like Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy game thanks to this deepfake

One of the most interesting games of this E3 2021 (and by far one of the most gameplay revealed) was Guardians of the Galaxy, the newest game from Eidos-Montréal and the second from Square Enix licensed by Marvel, after Marvel’s Avengers.

Like the Avengers game, it will feature its own version of the Guardians of the Galaxy, with a design closer to the comics, but letting yourself be noticed the influence of the Marvel Studios movies. (especially on the soundtrack: the game will have 30 classic songs of groups like Kiss, Iron Maiden, Rick Astley, Bonnie Tyler or Joan Jett).

In the cinema, Star-Lord (Peter Quill) is one of the most popular roles of actor Chris Pratt … so we are not surprised that they did not take a long time to deepfake with the actor’s face on the character of the game.

Has been the channel Stryder HD the author of this deepfake, a channel known for its deepfakes and fake trailers, like this video in which Mak Hammil and Billy Dee Williams (Luke Skywalker and Lando Clarissian) star in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

What do you think Chris Pratt would look like in the game? Are you convinced by the faces of the characters? One of the most common criticisms of Marvel’s Avengers was the face of the Avengers, although for Guardians of the Galaxy the characters seem slightly more “cartoon” and less realistic than in the Avengers game. It will certainly help, because it involves an adventure for a player with a lot of weight in the narrative, action but also decision making.

Guardians of the Galaxy is out on October 26 in PS5, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch (via cloud) and PC.
