Introduced as a next-gen experience, coming first to Xbox Series X | S and PC and available on Game Pass from day 1, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl has been shown at E3 2021 in all its glory.
The gameplay shown, lasting 5 minutes, has allowed us to see that the game will be set 20 years after a second explosion in the Chernobyl reactor, affecting the area with new and unforeseen effects, such as the so-called “anomalies”. You can see the trailer below these lines …
The developers, GSC Game WorldThey have been working on the sequel for many years, and apparently in the trailer, all that work is going to be reflected in a spectacular technical section. Facial animations, visual effects, reflections, light effects … everything, indeed, seems worthy of a new generation game.
As we have anticipated, anomalies are strange events that, out of nowhere, appear like a whirlwind and can destroy a living being in a matter of seconds in Stalker 2. Luckily we will have technology that will allow us to identify them before they appear.
They will not be the only dangers of this post-nuclear Russia. There will be no lack of mutations, such as the impressive mass that you see at the end of the trailer, nor of course, other hostile humans that will not help our survival either. A breeding ground that undoubtedly promises to be spectacular.
And it will be because the studio is working to achieve 4K resolutions with raytracing. If nothing goes wrong Stalker 2 will arrive in 2022 on Xbox Series X | S and PC.
