Star wars has found a vein to exploit in the world of series aimed at Disney Plus. The Mandalorian was the spearhead of a myriad of new live-action and animated series arriving in the coming years. Andor is one of those series, and it will be centered on the character of Cassian Andor, who gave life Diego Luna in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The series is currently in production and leaves us with interesting details from time to time.
During an interview with a Swedish radio station, Stellan Skarsgård, who participates in the filming of Andor, commented that he had been filming sequences with Forest whitaker for the Star Wars series, which has opened the return of a quite representative character in Star Wars when it comes to talking about the fight against the Empire: Saw Warrior.
Forest Whitaker became Saw Guerrera in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The character shows one of the murkier sides of the Rebel Alliance (well, from the Rebellion against the Empire, to be more precise), using brutal guerilla tactics and terrorism against the troops of the Emperor without especially worrying about collateral damage.
Saw Guerrera’s presence in the Andor series not much of a surprise in many respects. The series starring Diego Luna promises to be a spy thriller, as was Rogue One. It is very possible, and here we enter the fantastic world of theories, that Guerrera’s influence helps shape that lax morality that it boasts Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
What do you think that Forest Whitaker will return as Saw Guerrera in the Andor series?
