Summer Game Fest left us a good amount of announcements. Some were destined for titles that we already had on our agenda and many others were revelations of the moment. One of those who fell into that category was The Anacrusis, a new multiplayer proposal that reminiscent, powerfully, of Left 4 Dead.
This cooperative multiplayer shooter was seen in a first trailer where Valve’s touch was seen and it is no wonder, since it has been involved in its development Chet Faliszek, writer of Portal, Half-Life and yes, also of L4D. The Anacrusis is the first game from its developer Stray Bombay. Here’s the gameplay trailer:
What is The Anacrusis? The truth is that the trailer leaves no room for doubt. The survival of four companions inside a luxurious spaceship will go through cooperating and not end up in the hands of hundreds of invading aliens. All this will be supported by a deep replayability, which will feature a key progression system.
We can expect weapons of all classes, abilities of each character, varied scenarios and much more. In terms of dates and platforms, the launch day has not yet been set, but we know that The Anacrusis is coming to Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC this fall and will also be available out of the box on Xbox Game Pass.
What do you think of this title? Of course, this was not the only thing on display at last Thursday’s event. Don’t miss the Summer Game Fest KickOff Live 2021 Recap: Death Stranding, Wonderlands, Jurassic World … and Elden Ring! And for Left 4 Dead fans, The Anacrusis isn’t the only thing to come. Back 4 Blood, the spiritual heir to the beloved zombie game, has announced crossover play and a beta for this summer.
