One of the big announcements of the Summer Game Fest, the event presented by Geoff Keighley as part of E3 2021, has been the new 2K and Gearbox game: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a spin-off of the popular first-person shooter series and “loot“Borderlands, which will arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC in early 2022.
From Gearbox, they make it clear that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is an experience “standalone“complete, which will feature a story and a cooperative campaign for up to four players, as well as content “endgame“to continue investing hours after reaching the end. Come on, what? despite being a spin-off, it is practically a new Borderlands.
But of course we can also expect differences with respect to the main deliveries: one of the most remarkable will be the setting, which swap science fiction for high fantasy. On the other hand, we can create and customize our main character, as well as make use of a “multiclass” system to make our way with shots, sword strokes and spells through dungeons while we collect all the loot we can, all with the aim of defeating the evil Dragon Lord. Own Tiny Tina will be the GM of this peculiar role-playing game, altering the rules as she pleases.
Of course we can also hope meet familiar faces from the Borderlands universe, like Captain Valentine, the robot Frette or the aforementioned Tiny Tina. Similarly, we will meet a cast of new characters, such as a “barbarian” or a most peculiar fairy …
