Battlefield is back and it has done so with a trailer that presents its new installment, Battlefield 2042, the futuristic modern war that will take over from the Second World War of Battlefield V to bring the playable experience of the franchise to next gen consoles. After the announced gameplay on June 13, HE SAYS will begin to perform the technical tests of the game.
The first test of this nature will arrive in July, where the development team will test the great features of this release. The objective will be to collect feedback and information from the players of the Players Council, a group of veterans of the saga.
DICE’s plan involves carrying out a series of tests on the Orbital map in Conquest mode with 128 players in order to measure matchmaking, loading times and joining groups and squads. It has been known that Specialists such as Boris, Falck, Casper and Mackay will also be available.
Weapons like the M5A3 and AC42 assault rifles, the Ranger, and vehicles like the F-35E Panther and MV38-Condor will also make an appearance. The Swedish developer has commented that this test will take place in a gray box environment to achieve our development goals related to server loads, player experience, and rendering performance.
The playtest will be different than what we have done in the past, and it will be a gray box landscape for a few different reasons, such as validating our backend and matchmaking systems. This is relevant, since the result of these tests could mark the date when the first alpha of the game is established, the moment in which some fans can taste this Battlefield 2042 for the first time.
Regarding more news, it has been learned that Battlefield 2042 will have monthly rewards and other benefits for users of EA Play / Game Pass Ultimate. What did you think of the trailer? Did you catch all the references to the community plays?
