The world of old comics it continues to appreciate and reach impressive heights in auctions and direct sales. The comics that present the first appearances of the greatest superheroes are usually the most coveted and, therefore, the most expensive, especially if we find one in perfect condition, or almost, as is the case that we bring you today.

Metropollis Collectibles has managed the direct sale of a copy of the Amazing Fantasy # 15, published in 1962 and containing the first appearance of Spider-Man in the marvel comics. An anthology created by Stan lee and illustrated by Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby.

The copy in question has a quality certification of 9.4, which implies that the comic is in almost perfect condition, and the degradation has been practically nil over the more than fifty years that its pages have.

Interestingly, this copy of Spider-Man’s first appearance in the comics sold in 2016 for $ 450,000. Now the copy has sold for a whopping $ 1,050,000. Not bad at all about doubling the investment in 5 years, eh? At the moment, it has a long way to go to reach the figures for copies in good condition of the Action Comics # 1, with the first appearance of Superman, or the Detective Comics # 27, with the arrival of Batman.
