New Battlefield 6 details: Origin leaked screenshots and possible release date

Today at 4:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time Battlefield 2042, the new installment of EA’s war saga, which until recently we knew as “Battlefield 6”, will be officially announced. In this way, the return of IP for PCs and consoles is consummated, with a launch scheduled for the end of this year. We already knew some leaked details and some screenshots of the game… but there is more news.

Shortly before the official announcement, they have leaked New Battlefield 2042 Screenshots via Origin, EA’s Official Client in different systems. Not only that, but it has even been revealed a release date for this new installment, which will arrive just in time to compete with Sledgehammer’s next Call of Duty. The insider Okami has echoed this on social networks.

To date, blurred and blocked images had been leaked (trolled by EA), but this time we are talking about real full shots, taken from Origin. To start, in the main image you can see the official cover of Battlefield 2042, which is in line with the graphic style used in previous games in the series. We do not know if it will be the cover, although everything indicates that it is.

It all seems that Origin has leaked a lot of information about Battlefield 6 ahead of time, which confirms what had been rumored months ago: day and night cycles, real-time changing weather, scenery destruction engine, expanded playable mechanics for multiplayer… all that and much more will be available in Battlefield 2042. As you can see in the title, it will be set in the near future.

Origin leaks (shared by insider Okami and other media) also confirm the inclusion of 7 large maps, the greatest of the entire saga, which will allow online games for up to 128 players. Not only that, but weapons, vehicles and objects can be customized during the game, there will be different customization options for our squad, possibility to edit their appearance and more playable news.

The bomb is here: Origin has also leaked a possible release date (in the absence of official confirmation). According to this, Battlefield 2042 would arrive next October 15 to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. Hopefully we will soon know if this information is true, which would mean that in the next EA Play Live (at the end of July) many more details of the game would be revealed.

Battlefield 2042

As for the possible editions of Battlefield 2042, the leak claims that they will arrive three different editions for PC, PlayStation and Xbox: Standard, Gold and Ultimate. Of course, we have not yet been able to confirm future physical editions or the specific cover of the title. Being a leak so close to the official announcement (which takes place today at 4:00 p.m.), much more can be confirmed soon.

Battlefield 2042 is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC at the end of this year, maybe October 15 as this leak points out. These new captures undoubtedly give us long teeth … and invite us to bring out our weapons, camouflage suits and vehicles for the great battle that lies ahead.
