EA has finally revealed Battlefield 2042, the new game in the saga that will be released this year and will be intergenerational, and despite the many leaks, what has been shown has been spectacular. Only one cinematic trailer has been seen (the gameplay will be released this Sunday) but we already know many details, like its entirely multiplayer approach, its new Specialist system, its 7 giant maps, the setting and narrative in the near future …
As is customary in new EA games, subscribers to EA Play (included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) will access special benefits, which in the case of Battlefield 2042 will go beyond the initial discounts. All EA Play users (the basic subscription) will be able to access free to play for 10 hours, and you will do it a week before, October 15. In addition, you can benefit from a 10% discount on the reservation.
Not only that. EA Play users will enjoy early access to beta, when it comes out. And the most interesting, will receive exclusive monthly rewards. They have explained to us Battlefield 2042 intends to become play as a service, with seasons that will add new specialists.
Remember that EA Play is included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This is the basic subscription to EA Play (which normally costs 3.99 euros per month).
The subscription EA Play Pro (not included with Game Pass) costs 14.99 euros per month, but it will give you direct access to all the new EA games, and in its Deluxe editions, including Battlefield 2042.
Battlefield 2042 is due out on October 22, 2021 on PC, Xbox Series X / S, PS5, Xbox One, and PS4. This Sunday (we assume that in the Xbox presentation) the gameplay trailer will be shown. On July 22, at the EA Play Live presentation, more details will be given, announcing the two modes that remain to be revealed … but they have assured that it will not have battle royale.
