A new trailer for Loki confirms that the God of Deception is gender fluid

New short trailer of Loki, the MCU series that is about to fall

There is nothing left to enjoy Loki, the new Disney Plus series that continues with the Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Scarlet Witch and Vision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, being one of the most anticipated productions by Marvel fans.

After showing a new behind-the-scenes video of Loki a few days ago, now Marvel Studios has released another brief (and we assume the last) teaser in which it is confirmed that the God of Deception is gender-fluid in the MCU. You can take a look at new Loki trailer then.

Although it is shown very briefly, if we look closely at Loki’s file, in the gender section it says “Fluid”, officially confirming the gender of the character and making a nod to Norse mythology since, although traditionally it is considered that Loki is a male, in the original Norse legends the character is best described as gender fluid and bisexual.

Myths tell many stories in which Loki transformed into a female form, sometimes remaining female for years, something Marvel Comics honored with various stories in which the God of Deception transformed into a female. Will we see something similar in the loki series?

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has promised that the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be increasingly diverse, so it makes sense for the studio to use Loki as a gender fluid character. Not only does this fit in with the original Norse mythology, it is also completely true to the comics and raises some exciting possibilities for the TV series where we see different incarnations of one of the characters most loved by Marvel fans.

With a second season already confirmed, the Loki series will be released in the Disney Plus catalog on June 9, 2021.
