Sony continues to unleash its medley of film projects centered on auxiliary characters from Spider-man. With Venom: There Will Be Carnage and Morbius: The Living Vampire just around the corner, Sony is already beginning to focus on another project that has been sounding loud for quite some time: Kraven the Hunter. The supporting characters and villains related to the Marvel wall-crawler are giving Sony a lot of play on a cinematic level.

As reported Variety, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been hired to give life to the “best hunter of Marvel”. The film will focus entirely on the character of Kraven, and will presumably tell his origin story.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson will sound familiar to you for having starred in the Kick-Ass movies, as well as having already had a Marvel-related detour by becoming Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This transfer could make it unlikely, although not impossible, that Kraven will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at least with the Taylor-Johnson iteration, having already played a character. The intention of Sony and Marvel to combine two cinematic universes has been rumored for a long time. Other options that were rumored in the past to play Kraven were Jason Momoa and Keano Reeves.

What do you think of the signing of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven the Hunter?
