The new Fable would run on the Forza Horizon graphics engine, according to a job listing

After much rumor and speculation, Playground Games finally introduced a new Fable like the current project they are working on. Although the teaser only confirmed the existence of this project since the game still seems very far away, the company’s website has revealed an important aspect of this Fable.

As indicated in a job description, the new Fable would run with ForzaTech, the graphics engine that has wielded the Forza saga both in its Horizon aspect and in Motorsport and whose muscle has already been amply embodied in recent games.

ForzaTech is the engine, tools, and channels that power the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon game series. In addition to adding new features like ray tracing to support the next generation of consoles, We are also enriching the toolset to support an open world action RPG: Fable.

That the job offer indicates this seems to confirm that Fable will take even more profit from the possibilities of this graphics engine to take full advantage of Xbox Series X. Ray tracing has already been mentioned. In addition to this information, the list also adds Turn 10 as a study linked to the development of the new Fable.

Also noteworthy is the mention of three AAA titles from two Xbox franchises in development, so, knowing that there is already a Fable and a Forza Motorsport, it may be that Forza Horizon 5 is also simmering. Playground Games is going to be busy these next few years.

A few days ago we learned that Forza Motorsport 8 has started testing sessions to get feedback from the players and you can participate too. Will E3 2021 be the place to continue presenting data on these games?
