Rockstar has signed great video games throughout its history. Although nowadays licenses such as Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption stand out, in the past we had other great games What Midnight Club, Manhunt … or Bully. And it is that we continue to maintain a small hope of seeing a new installment of this particular school GTA, although it is quite unlikely.
We already told you in its day that Bully 2 could have been canceled in 2017, and it is not the first time that what we are going to tell you now happens. The fact is that, according to a Reddit sub-forum and the MP1ST portal, Rockstar has updated the Bully brand multiple times in a single day.
The finding has been discovered on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, so you can check it by yourselves. Rockstar you have updated this license several times, which could mean that you are still considering developing a new installment in the future … or you may just want to keep the IP updated, looking forward to the next few years.
Rockstar is not currently considered to be working on a new bully, as all their efforts are focused on supporting GTA Online and Red Dead Online, with the development of GTA 6 on the horizon. Of course, publisher Take Two has already said on several occasions that Rockstar is still focused on creating single-player experiences, so nothing can be ruled out.
Bully is one of Rockstar’s most unique games. This GTA school hooligan generated quite a bit of controversy in its day, and to date its last installment was released in 2008 for Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii (Bully: Scholarship Edition).
What is clear is that Rockstar does not want to be confused, and this update that the Bully brand has undergone is a clear example of this. In recent months, other interesting rumors have also emerged, such as the possible development of Manhunt 3, or the patches released for Max Payne 3 and LA Noire on Steam.
Will we see soon a sequel to bully? Will Rockstar bring us a new game from this hooligan franchise? Fingers crossed … although, of course, our greatest wish is to know something more about GTA 6 soon.
