A fan of the original Resident Evil updates the game with all the content that was missing from 1996

The year 1996 brought us a large number of sagas that have already become icons of the video game industry. The terror of Resident Evil arrived that same year with a proposal never seen before and that has ended up being one of the most acclaimed and popular franchises in history.

The passage of time caused Capcom to release revisions and new versions of Resident Evil. The famous “Director’s Cut” came to the West, but none of those versions came to include all the content that was present within the Japanese borders. However, and fortunately, thanks to a fan this can be compensated.

User Deli295 has released a patch of the original Resident Evil that allows you to enjoy all the content that came to include the game. Everything in RE’s Japanese Director’s Cut can be seen and played thanks to this notorious update that will fascinate the most ardent fans of the survival horror saga.

What do we find in this patch? To get started, the game has a slightly more explicit introduction, a scene in which you can see a message written in blood on a wall and some tracks from the soundtrack that were omitted.

Although it is not a big deal, it is unreleased material that is unknown to many, a real candy for the most purist fans. If you are interested in installing this patch, here you can download it without problems.

In case you’re a fan of the saga and you’re looking forward to the new installment like rain, here you can find out how you can play the Resident Evil Village demo on PC without the 60-minute time limit.
