Young and old Asuka together in this shocking Evangelion cosplay

Within the Anime series, undoubtedly one that has caused a great fury is Evangelion, a series created by Hideaki Anno between 1995 and 1996 whose end was something to talk about among his followers as it was extremely rare and not very explanatory, which is why the Neon Genesis Evangelion films were released in 1997 : Death & Rebirth and The End of Evangelion.

However, Anno started in 2007 Rebuild of Evangelion featuring the films Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo. Almost ten years after the launch of Evangelion 3.0 and after various delays in its production (including the Coronavirus pandemic itself), Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 finally arrived in theaters in Japan, the long-awaited film that closes the plot of the series.

The history of the Evangelion series is set in a futuristic world in which a company called NERV protects humanity from the attack of unknown beings called “angels” using giant robots called mechas. Throughout the series and its films, its plot unfolds with psychological, philosophical and religious reflections which, together with its spectacular technical workmanship, have made it one of the essential animes.

Being such a popular franchise around the world it is not surprising that many cosplayers spend your time making costumes based on anime. Such is the case of Ulichan and lili_erlih, two young cosplayers who have made a curious “crossover” bringing together the young and adult versions of Asuka langley, one of the main protagonists of Evangelion. You can see the result below.

At the moment the release date of the film Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 in theaters in Spain is unknown, so it will be necessary to arm yourself with patience and wait for more news about it. In the meantime, here we recommend some of the best anime that have already been finished.
