After years of development, Cyberpunk 2077 finally saw the light of day late last year. Although it is an excellent RPG in its playable proposal, the serious problems that the versions of PS4 and Xbox One had they hampered its release and impoverished the image of the title and that of CD Projekt.
A few weeks ago the long-awaited patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 was released, which improves the performance of the game on consoles and fixes many of the bugs that were attributed to it. This is just one more step on the roadmap of CD Projekt, which in the coming months will launch the first DLC and the native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
In an interview with Reuters, the co-chairman of CD Projekt, Adam Kicinski, confirmed that will continue to support Cyberpunk 2077 for years to come, just as they did with The Witcher 3. The futuristic RPG will not be a “flower of a year”, and will continue to receive updates, patches and content for years to come.
”I don’t see Cyberpunk 2077 leaving aside as an option.. We are convinced that we can bring the game to such a state that we can be proud of it and therefore sell it as a success for years to come.” Kicinski explains.
One of the most controversial points currently is that Cyberpunk 2077 still no longer available on the PS Store, after Sony removed the PS4 game (which can also be played on PS5) from the PlayStation digital store. Kicinski has also spoken about this.
A few weeks ago, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 confirmed that they were in negotiations with Sony to bring their game back to the PS Store, something that Adam Kicinski reaffirms in this interview. Has not detailed where are these negotiations, but the intention is that the game will be available again as soon as possible.
