The return of Indiana Jones to the screens, played for the fifth time by Harrison ford, is closer than it seems: the July 29, 2022. Indiana Jones 5 has been delayed countless times (most recently, due to delays caused by the pandemic), but production is already underway, and will feature new and old signings.

The Indiana Jones official Twitter account has announced that Phoebe Waller-Bridge He will join the cast of the film, sharing the limelight with Ford (remember that he is 78 years old …).

On the other hand, the music will once again be composed by the inimitable John williams, still active at 89, whose last work was the soundtrack of Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker. Indy wouldn’t be the same without his music!

British Phoebe Waller-Bridge is known for writing and starring in the tragicomedy Fleabag, which has given it great international prestige. Previously he also created the series Crashing, and produced the first season of Killing Eve.

He also played the droid L3-37 in Solo: A Star Wars Story and contributed to the script of the film by 007 No Time to Die, scheduled for October 2021. He will soon star opposite Donald Glover in an Amazon series based on the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Indiana Jones 5 will not have Steven Spielberg in the director’s chair, but rather James Mangold (Logan, Le Mans 66). Spielberg was originally going to be the director, but decided to hand over the baton to a new generation. If you are looking to get to the date of July 2022, we should soon know more details about its cast and filming: the film will be set, apparently, in the 60s.
